Terra Savia Merlot Blend Mendocino 2009
The grapes were hand harvested in the early morning hours of October 30, 2009. The average Brix was 24.3 Brix @55 degrees F. Crushed into small fermenters the fruit was fermented over a two week period and allowed to remain in contact with the skins for several more days to reduce hard tannins. The wine was aged for approx 2 years in a mix of new and neutral French Oak barrels.

Our Merlot is produced in a soft rich style. Aged in toasted French Oak for 24 months and fined to soften tannins, this wine is very drinkable now and will continue to get better with age.
