Lots of creme brulee and oak. Moderate tannins and acidity, low to moderate fruit. Was good with steak, but I think would be even better with grilled chicken.
Smells like mushrooms (I might be confusing about this scent for me). Medium tannins, juicy acidity. Spicy. Pretty intense alcohol. Kindof shitty aftertaste (wait 7 seconds). There is a lot going on in this wine, but I'm having trouble pinning it down.

Mendoza, ArgentinaTerra Rosa Old Vine Malbec is a red wine gem from Argentina made by Laurel Glen winemaker Patrick Campbell. Italian immigrants planted vineyards in the late 1800's on gravelly soils at the base of the Andes in Mendoza. The average age of these Terra Rosa vineyards is 80 years.Terra Rosa Old Vine Malbec is deep garnet-purple in color with a beautiful nose of plums, black cherries, spice and mineral notes. It has full body, soft tannins and well integrated oak. Terra Rosa is a blend of Malbec from the estate's top vineyards in the Mendoza region with 10% old-vine Tempranillo to enhance its spicy component. Aged in French and European oak barrels for 15 months, it is powerful and mouthfilling, yet long and elegant on the finish.Enjoy Terra Rosa Old Vine Malbec over the next 5-6 years with grilled steak, pan-seared duck, hearty pastas, pizza and cheeses.
