Took to wine tasting party. Against 7 other wines, consisting of cabernet sauvignon, syrah and grenache, this was my 3rd pick, and my selections echoed the rest of the party. Big, deep berry flavors on the palate. Nose of berry with a touch of pepper spice. Not jammy, but very big, deep fruit. Outstanding - 92 pts.

Decanted 1 hour before drinking. Nice nose of berry, with some pepper. Luscious mouthfeel, and absolutely delicious dark berry flavors. Not too tannic, but enough to keep the structure from turning into jam. Smooth drinking, with a great finish of berry. No bitterness, and very little alcohol heat. I like this wine, and will buy it again.

Definite TCA on the nose, and awful musty 'wet cardboard' flavor in the mouth. Going to try the famed Sarah Wrap trick to cleanse the wine of TCA. Supposedly, a UC Davis Oenology prof claims pouring 'corked' wine down a sheet of Saran Wrap into a bowl will trap TCA molecules and 'cleanse' the wine of TCA and make it drinkable...Will report outcome.
