Terra Blanca Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Member Review by RPerro:

Dark, dark maroon color, no light coming through at all. Beautiful nose of black fruit and leather. A bit lax, compared to the 2001, but this may be on its way out. Still, very much representative of Red Mountain juice...extremely tasty blackberry fruit with a nice floral component, tight acidity and ample tannin. Dumped this one in the decanter, so will post again after it's breathed a spell. Initial rating straight from the bottle is an 88.After decanting for a while, the wine is still magnificently fragrant. The tannins have relaxed some, with blackberry flavors really standing out along with some floral (violets?) hints. I do agree with others that this should be consumed in the short term. Drink up, y'all! Revised rating after decant is an 89.

Very port-like, making me think this may be past its prime. Great nose, tons of sweet raspberry fruit. Flavors get a bit raisiney, and overly sweet, with a touch of tartness on the finish. Can't make up my mind on this wine...'good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun.' Enjoyable to drink, but not the best Terra Blanca has put out.
