Light raspberry and cherry flavors intermingled with a delicate leather note. Good fruit and some sweetness resulting in a wine that is soft and mineral. Balanced and almost restrained with a lot of minerality. Tart raspberries on the finish. Very nice.

The Terlato family put Pinot Grigio on the US wine map when they--Paterno Imports--brought Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio to our shores. They have expanded into the winery business in California and have made a stunning Pinot Noir from vineyards they developed in the Russian River Valley. Classic Pinot Noir this mid-weight wine has flavor without weight. Savory notes balance raspberry/strawberry-like flavors. Some will fault it for lack of "power " but its lacy elegance and delicacy combined wit

Medium garnet color. The nose bespeaks classic Russian River pinot with a healthy dose of wild violet ripe raspberry sour cherry and a dash of clove and coffee. Crisp assertive acidity primes the palate for bright red raspberry and tangy cherry flavors while the solid mid-palate offers a firm backbone of sweet tannins before finishing with a lingering spice note. Enjoy this very approachable sipping wine on its own or with food over the next for 3-5 years. Justin Wong.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Delicate jewel tones of medium ruby. Aroma: Red fruits (raspberries and strawberries) with hints of violets and spice. Taste: Lighter in style, the wine’s acidity frames it nicely and will pair well with pork, chicken and other white meats. Well-integrated tannins lead to a long, silky smooth finish.
