Terlato Family Vineyards Chardonnay Russian River Valley 2006 750ML
Clean, bright, straw yellow, and viscous with aromas of bosc pear, golden delicious apple, butter, vanilla, and toast. It is medium bodied with clean, fresh apple and pear fruit flavors. Juicy and bright with moderate oak and alcohol, the wine does have a decadent drop of butterscotch at the center and a long butterscotch, pineapple finish.
The Terlato family name brings over 50 years of experience in the fine wine industry. The wines from Terlato Family Vineyards illustrate the family’s commitment and passion to crafting world-class wine. Each varietal is developed by carefully selecting vineyards from the most esteemed viticultural areas of California, insisting on limited production of handcrafted wines. These wines are authentic expressions of their region and are created with the intention of serving gastronomy. This wine comes from the Russian River Valley, universally recognized as the best Chardonnay location in California. The unique soil and climate here allows Russian River Valley Chardonnays to rival the great White Burgundies of France. Length/Type of Fermentation: Barrel fermented in French oak for an average of 12 days. Length/Type of Aging: Aged for 9 months in French oak barrels; 20% new.
COLOR Light gold AROMA Apple pie spices (cinnamon and clove), Granny Smith apple, stone fruit (apricot and white peach). TASTE Crisp acidity, creamy mid-palate, long clean finish.
