Tenute Silvio Nardi Brunello di Montalcino 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino is a pretty wine laced with dried cherries, crushed flowers, licorice and spices. The wine’s mid-weight structure and modest depth both suggest it is best enjoyed sooner rather than later.Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The nose showed sour red berries and sweet spice in a bittersweet performance. On the palate, red berries and herbs were on display, yet it came across one-dimensional and ultimately disappointing through the finish.

Black licorice, cola and cherry liqueur open the nose and segue to black currant and crème de cassis aromas, then forest floor, bramble and Spanish cedar. This wine is linear, crisp and tight on the palate, with firm tannins. Give the wine five more years to soften. - M.L. Cherry and plum fruit are enhanced by tobacco and black tea accents in this firm red. Leans toward drying tannins in the balance. Moderate length. Best from 2013 through 2020. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 25,000 cases made. -BS The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino is a pretty wine laced with dried cherries, crushed flowers, licorice and spices.
