Winemaker's Notes:

Tenute Dettori is a family-run estate consisting of 33 hectares of land, situated in the Sennori countryside of Sardegna. To understand the wines of Dettori, one must understand the land upon which the vines grow. On the hills of Sennori, the vineyards and olive groves rest at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level, the soil composition is calcareous. Today's vineyards are the same as they were in the past. Vines are dry-farmed and no artificial products are utilized in the winemaking; all processing is carried out manually and organically by the family in both the vineyard and the cellar. This Cannonau Tuderi scored 91 points in Wine Advocate, a brilliant score for one of the more quirky wines from this winery. The wine reveals an exotic, almost Pinot Noir-like nose, with delicate notes of mint, licorice, cherries and roasted coffee beans that waft out of the glass. Although it is a delicate, medium-bodied wine, the Tuderi is packed with flavour and offers terrific drinking right now.
