Refined and well-designed. Very pretty aromas of plum, blackberry and cherry, with hints of toasty oak. Full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long, subtle finish. Mostly Sangiovese. Best after 2005.

Mostly sangiovese, this includes a small percentage of merlot, the original blend that Carlo Ferrini made from Alberto Morettirsquo;s estate northwest of Arezzo. Itrsquo;s light, bright and elegant, the black cherry flavors expending into the finish. A generous wine on a light frame, this will match a plate of salumi.
Very silky and fine, with currant and berry on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, with a wonderful mouthfeel. Clean, fresh and direct.
Huge and meaty, with round berry and plum aromas propped up by a healthy load of lumber. The palate is loaded with plum and chocolate, while the finish is ultra rich and smooth, bordering on buttery. In the end it all comes together. Give this Sangiovese ample air and itrsquo;s sure to please.
This sangiovese gains smoothness from a small addition of merlot (10 percent) while it gains richness from oak. Itrsquo;s warm at the edges, soft in the middle; a textural pleasure.
