Funkelndes Rubinrot; komplexe Nase mit Noten von dunklen Kirschen und Beeren, etwas Schokolade und Röstnuancen. Im Gaumen sehr geschmeidig, Aromen von Weichselkirschen und mediterranen Kräutern sowie feinkörnige, gut eingebundene Tannine.

Jugendliches Granatrot.In der Nase offen und fruchtig-intensiv, an reife Steinfrüchte erinnernd mit leichten Unterholzaromen begleitend. Am Gaumen zugänglich und frisch mit schöner Sangiovese-Aromatik, ähnlich einem Rosso di Montalcino. Mittlerer Körper der gleichermassen im Abgang endet.

Berry and floral aromas, with currant and cassis. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a clean, crisp finish. Racy and refined. The second wine of Sassicaia. Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Displays sweet tobacco, plum and berry aromas, with a jammy undertone, turning to licorice on the palate. Full-bodied and balanced, with silky tannins, a lovely texture and plenty of fruit. Outstanding Sassicaia, with structure and finesse. 85 percen... Wine Spectator. A Proprietary Blend wine from Tuscany in Italy. 2006 San Guido Sassicaia 750ml

For clients out there who want to try Sassicaia without having to break the bank, then Le Difese is definitely for you. Le Difese is actually the third wine from the infamous Tenuta San Guido estate, made of 70% Cabernet, and 30% Sangiovese. Made in a delicious “stand-alone” style, it also is a great accompaniment to a wide array of everyday foods include pizza, pasta…and of course burgers! “Purple-ruby robe. A full glass of delicious intrigue on the nose, where ripe black currant aromas mix with earthy scents of dried clay and a hint of smoke. Medium-bodied, with moderate tannins and subtle acidity. Still quite youthful, with a lot of push from the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (70% of the blend), while the Sangiovese grapes (30%) add notes of black cherries. Hints of basil and wood emerge with time in the glass. Pairs well with red meats and meat-driven pasta sauces...Drink now-2015…91.” Sonoma Wine Journal 5/12
