Tenuta San Guido Supertuscan Blend Toscana IGT Guidalberto 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

The wine is characterized by a very intense violet color. On the nose, it is very long and persistent; the palate has an excellent, well balanced structure that is well-rounded, gentle and delicate. Its significant organoleptic depth, which is soft and round, and good polyphenolic structure, results in a wine that is best enjoyed upon release.

The nose showed intense red fruits, powdered sugars and hint of herbs. The palate was pure and balanced with red fruit and great acidity. The finish was medium long with red fruits and tobacco. The ’09 Guidalberto is a very good wine that would score much higher in my book, at half its price.

Vibrant violet hue. Black plum and cassis dominate the nose, supported by hints of cedar and a smoky note from aging in French oak. This baby Sassicaia is quite concentrated on the palate with a focused fruit theme similar to the aromatics. Leather... Neil Mechanic.
