What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Winemakers Notes

GRAPE VARIETY: ±85-90% Cabernet Sauvignon, ±10-15% Cabernet Franc MAXIMUM YIELD: 30-32 hl/ha (134-144 cases/acre) ALCOHOL: ±12.5%

Strong, concentrated, with sweet and balanced tannins on the palate. Very long finish with very important organoleptic and poliphenolic aspects, which will ensure to this wine an extraordinary longevity.

Following a very precocious malolactic fermentation, the wine begun at the beginning of November its ageing period of 24 month in french oak barriques, one third new.

Rating: 17/20 - As reviewed by Jancis Robinson Bright red, but without the healthy sheen of the 1995. Very, very rich, spicy, meaty nose; but acidity is a bit obvious on the palate. Chewy. Very slightly falling apart. Dangerous! Not intense or long. Dusty.
