Good deep ruby red in the glass, generous notes of chocolate raisins, some herbs and a little smoke. Mid bodied and well balanced, lovely mouth feel with silky tannins. Blackberry on the mid palate, very fresh, lively and fruity. Long sumptuous finish. Stellar effort. 94 Points

4.25 to 4.5 stars Appearance: deep ruby/ slight brick core transitioning to ruby rim Nose: medium intensity with aromas of cherry (red & black), black tea, currant (red & black) Palate: medium+ velvety tannins, high acidity, long length, flavors of black tea, black cherry, red currant, rose. The wine is very complex layered, perfectly balanced which transitions from the fresh fruit elements to the more dried elements with time.

The first Super Tuscan, this great Cabernet allies a dense core of pure, ripe black currant fruit flavors and aromas with smoky notes of cedar, tobacco and vanilla to a refined supporting acidity and a sleek, finely integrated tannic structure.

Dark ruby in color, showing aromas of currant, new oak and fresh herbs, with hints of spices. Full-bodied, with very chewy tannins and an outstanding concentration of fruit. The 2005 Sassicaia is another strong effort from Tenuta San Guido. Medium in body, it reveals an understated, delicate expression of smoke, herbs, tobacco and sweet dark fruit. The wine possesses compelling harmony and a gorgeous sense of inner perfu... Robert Parker. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from Tuscany in Italy. 2005 San Guido Sassicaia 750ml

Dunkel-violett-schwarze Farbe.
