Rating: 17/20 - As reviewed by Jancis Robinson Cab Sauv 85%. Cab Franc 15% 22 mths in French barriques (1/3 new), 6 mths in bottle Mid crimson. Bonfires and sweetness. Not as arresting as the Ornellaia - much lighter and more transparent. Even in magnum. But a refreshing drink that is so confident it almost doesn't have to try and will surely age well. Competent.

The first vintage of Sassicaia was made in 1968; thus the "Super Tuscan" was born. The wine is mostly Cabernet with a touch of Cabernet Franc. It is made in the image of a great Bordeaux and, like great Bordeaux, will age for a very long time in your cellar.
