Wine Spectator - 92 points, Gambero Rosso 'Due Bicchieri' 2007 Decanter Bronze Medal.. Super Tuscan. Infact Il Borro has been awarded 'due Bicchieri' every year for the last 6 years as well as a host of other awards. This wine is the flagship of the estate. 50% Merlot 40% Cabernet Sauvignon 10% Syrah & Petit Verdot. Hand selected grapes are gently crushed, then the fermentation takes place over 10 days under temperature control, with maceration on the skins continuing for 22 days. Really smooth and drinkable. Goes down a little too easily actually. Fruity but in a subtle way. Would definitely drink again!
