External Reviews for Tenuta Guado Al Tasso Antinori Red Blend Bolgheri Superiore
Very dark blackish-ruby. Opens with sultry, high-toned aromas of blackberry, sandalwood and clove. Then followed by powerful, sweet flavors of plum confiture, crushed cherry and roasted coffee bean, all nicely delineated. Full and rich, with enough acidity to ensure freshness. A distinct mineral edge is apparent on the lingering finish.
Probably not what you'd expect from this wine. It's a fair amount gamy, with caramel, warm earth and some bacon on the nose. There's sweet berry fruit and licorice notes, but also a dry, peppery, woody character... Wine Enthusiast. A Proprietary Blend wine from Tuscany in Italy. 2000 Antinori Guado al Tasso Bolgheri 1500ml
Very polished yet wild. Ripe and decadent, with spice, meat and fruit. Full-bodied, with thick, velvety tannins and a long, flavorful finish. A full-throttle red. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Best after 2007.
Smoky, charry aromas are as tempting as the scent of steaks on a fire; the flavors only confirm the draw, with black cherry fruit that seems to require a fork and knife. Itrsquo;s cabernet sauvignon and merlot with a touch of syrah, dense and delicious; a catch for the cellar.
From Antinorirsquo;s coastal project, this wine blends cabernet sauvignon and merlot with syrah to reach a satisfying richness. The herbal tobacco scents keep it tuned to cabernet; that, together with the sleek, earthy finish, makes it feel very British, the kind of wine 007 might drink with a steak.
Silky and refined, with blackberry, tobacco and mineral aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, with a solid core of tannins and a refined finish. Reserved and structured. Best after 2007.
Wonderful balance here. Violet and berry aromas, with intense tarragon and currant character. Full-bodied and gorgeous, with wonderful finesse and subtlety. Very long. Best after 2005.
