Tenuta di Trinoro Toscana le Cupole 2009
92 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): The 2009 Le Cupole di Trinoro is a gorgeous, radiant wine. Layers of silky red berries, flowers and spices blossom beautifully on the palate. The wine's minerality appears shortly thereafter, providing a wonderful sense of balance. The 2009 Cupole shows fabulous harmony all the way through to the finish. This is without question one of the very finest wines being made in Tuscany today in its price range... Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019. (Aug 2011)
External Reviews for Tenuta di Trinoro Toscana le Cupole
Deep garnet in color, there?s a pretty array of spice aromas to begin, black pepper, cumin and mace, with a black cherry and blackcurrant undercurrent. A good backbone of high acid and medium level of fine tannins structure.
The 2010 Le Cupole di Trinoro is an attractive, mid-weight wine laced with dark red cherries, flowers, mint, tobacco and licorice. This is a relatively subdued, soft vintage for Le Cupole, with less exuberance than has been the case in some other previous vintages. The blend is 50% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.
