Winemaker's Notes:

"Red Wine Italian Red by Caparzo from Tuscany, Italy. Color: Garnet red, intense and brilliant, with light orange hints. Bouquet: Penetrating, full and varied, reminiscent of wild berries. Tenuta Caparzo:
The “Caparzo” name seems to originate from Ca' Pazzo, as seen in several ancient maps. The vineyards, cellars and all wine-making equipment were developed towards the end of the 1960s, with progressive adaptation and constant up-dating of both the land and the cellars. Innovative cultivation systems and, in particular, several clones are still experimented today on the estates - extending over an area of 190

Fantastic! After about thirty minutes of decanting this wine came out of its shell with an almost overwhelming aroma of cherry and earth. Very full bodied and bold, this wine was almost over the top, but paired nicely with a piece of veal or Kobe its manageable (ha!).

Superclean, with crushed fruit and a lovely smokiness underneath. Full-bodied and very silky, with a long, caressing finish. A real beauty... Wine Spectator. A Sangiovese Grosso wine from Tuscany in Italy. 1999 Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino la Casa 750ml
