Of the 101 hectares of land they control, 76 are dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of vines. The vineyards cover the slopes of the inheritance of the west end of the range of Ordal, following the undulations of the terrain and having on terraces or on slopes facing the south side. Like all good soils vinifera, the Can Vendrell are poor in organic matter with variable contents of clay and sand on a bed of limestone, but a permeable soil with good moisture retention capacity. Leaving aside the suitability of these soils for vineyards, other factors contribute to define the specific implementation of different types of vines, such as orientation, sunshine, humidity and altitude terrain. Tempranillo Classic is produced using the carbonic maceration process, whereby organically grown Tempranillo grapes begin fermentation without pressing. The free-run juice and the whole berries ferment together at cool temperatures for six days, followed by eight days of maceration. The wine is then lightly filtered and transferred into stainless steel tanks. After five months it is bottled and released. Tempranllo Classic is made to be fruit-forward and is best enjoyed within two years of release. - Winery

Albet I Noya Tempranillo Classico Penedes 2008 750ML



Tasting Notes:

On the nose, this wine expresses notes of spice, plum, prune, and chocolate. It is well-structured on the palate and medium in body. Flavors of ripe plum appear. The finish is long.
