Firm tannins underlie a smooth texture in this silky red. Black cherry, smoke, tar and mineral flavors are balanced and fresh, and this shows good focus and length. Drink now through 2012. -TM Wine Spectator. A Tempranillo wine from Toro in Spain. 2006 Telmo Rodriguez Gago 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes :The Telmo Rodriguez estate in Toro is named after a Spanish breed of bull that is both elegant and powerful. Telmo was one of the first to rediscover vineyards of decades-old, bush-trained vineyards. The distinctive red soils produce a Tinto de Toro (the local clone of Tempranillo) with tremendous fruit concentration, ripeness, acidity, tannins and structure.
