Telmo Rodriguez Basa Do Rueda 2017

Member Review by zufrieden:

Rueda of this quality and price is a treat - the nose is full of perfume from sweet garden flowers plus a hefty infusion of peach. On the tongue there is spritely brightness - acidity, apple, and more peach; the mouth-feel is excellent with a well balanced, slightly dry entry. Finish is rich and of medium length. Excellent bargain. 89 points.

This is how the business started, originally under the name of Compañía de Vinos de La Granja. Straw bright, aromas of citrus and lime flowers; bright grapefruit, lemon, lime notes over racy acidity, with a kiss of floral, to a moderately long and focused finish. A nice wine that can fool more than a few sauvignon blanc drinkers.

Basa is always lip-smackingly delicious. Bright and wonderfully fresh, this light white is bursting with bosc pear, golden apple and grapefruit blossom. Not to fear, it isn't all soft fruit and floral aromas. You get a punch of zesty citrus and a clean mineral finish. Perfect for summer, but why wait?

Strohgelbe Farbe, Aromen nach Zitrusfrüchten, Passionsfrucht, Kiwi, Holunder. Am Gaumen ein süffiger, leicht würziger mit exotischem Touch. Fruchtiger Abgang.

Lime and grapefruit flavors are mouthwatering in this juicy white. Fennel and pear accents keep it interesting. Firm and crisp. Drink now.

Flowery, with lime sorbet zest, subtle mineral and honeydew melon juiciness. Light in body, this Viura/Sauvignon Blanc blend is crisp and dry. Quality-wise, a smart substitute for New Zealand or domestic Sauvignon Blanc.

Tangerine and lime flavors are crisp and lively in this fresh, juicy white. Hints of coconut and vanilla add interest. Drink now.

An area known for wine production since the Middle Ages, Rueda produces fresh and lively whites from the Viura and Verdejo grapes that represent terrific values. The 2002 Basa brims with bright pear and apple fruit and is light and clean on the palate with a harmonious finish.

Light yellow. Pear, apple and cut grass on the nose, with a suave floral quality. Light-bodied and refreshingly bitter, displaying crisp citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a gentle mineral bite. Finishes clean, with good lift and persistence.
