Perfumed on the nose with a strong pine resin note over rich, ripe blueberry fruit. In the mouth this is soft and dry with black cherry fruit that’s wrapped in a clumsy, chunky mouthfeel. The fruit turns a bit muddied and indistinct on the finish. 84pts
Fruity on the nose with a nice underlay of toasty oak spice and vanilla and top notes of braised herbs, licorice and violets. This is smooth and supple in the mouth with an initial rush of smoky, toasty and scorched earth inner-mouth perfumes. Perhaps a bit on the tight side, this shows a fairly heavy if balanced load of load tannins in the mouth along with dark pencil lead and toast flavors over some grape, with red currants and fresh purple and blue fruits. The finish is cut short by the tannins. This has some of the hardness and underlying unyielding nature of old school winemaking. I bet this gets better with 2-5 years in the cellar. Needs an aggressive steak for dinner tonight. 90pts
45% syrah, 40% carignan, 15% grenache. The nose starts with a strong hit of dirt then manure, but with juicy blackberries underneath. The flavor doesn't have the fruit, but is an interesting combination of olive and fennel seeds. Next to no finish.
Started well, but faded quickly.
This wine is a smooth garnacha.
Artisan juni proeverij - De smaak is opvallend zacht en soepel. De hinten van sappige bessen en de zachte zuren geven de wijn zijn elegante karakter. Lichte tonen van vanille in de afdronk
BBQ potentie. Licht geur, prettige schoenenzweet. Drinkbaar, sappig, voor niet roodwijn liefhebbers prima. Paul van Kats wijn
A fresh, crisp grape typical wine with notes of apple and minerals.

The 2008 La Mano Mencia Roble spent 6 months in oak. It is a glass-coating opaque purple color with an alluring perfume of mineral, spice box, cedar, boysenberry, and black cherry. Sweetly fruited, savory, and built for pleasure, it finishes with no hard edges. This lengthy effort is a great value that over-delivers in a big way. It is a splendid introduction to the Mencia grape. ** SOLD OUT **
The 2008 Barolo Vigneto La Villa emerges from the glass with generous dark red fruit, flowers, menthol, pine and licorice, all supported by firm, massive tannins. French oak gives the wine volume and textural depth, but without being intrusive. A plush, authoritative finish rounds out this stylish, totally fabulous Barolo. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028. ** Only 6 in Stock **
Fine white wine- 2008 - Inama Vigneti di Foscarino Soave - Italy - Region: Veneto - Apellation: Veneto - Garganega - 750 ml.
Hails from Macul, so it exhibits some normal eucalyptus on the nose along with spice and pointed, slightly piercing berry aromas. The palate is chewy, sweet, modern and ripe, with chunky berry, herb, olive and particularly graphite flavors. Settles on big black fruit and depth. Outstanding Chilean Cabernet with individuality. Best from 2013-2016. - M.S. Opaque ruby. Textbook ripe cabernet aromas of red- and blackcurrant, cherry and tobacco. Fleshy, expansive dark fruit flavors possess very good depth and offer suave oak spice and floral character. Fine-grained tannins give shape and grip to the long, smooth, gently gripping finish.
2008 - Zind-Humbrecht gewurztraminer Herrenweg Vieilles Vignes 5 - Frankreich - Region: Alsace - Apellation: Alsace - Gewurztraminer - 750 ml.
A clean, dry white made from the Jacquère grape variety. With tangy, chalky minerals and floral fruit flavors, it is a natural match for shellfish.
92 points Wine Spectator: Still tight, with the core of cherry and red currant fruit held in check by a mix of lightly firm sandalwood, spice, licorice root and warm stone flavors. Mulled fig and cocoa notes check in on the grippy finish. A rare backward style 2008 that will need some cellaring to round into form. Best from 2013 through 2020. (2/28/11)
