Teal Lake Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

Teal Lake Cabernet Merlot is quite dry and loaded with tannins. It's surprisingly spicy with black pepper flavors that remind me of the Teal Lake Shiraz. The pepper flavor dominates the milder plum and wild cherry flavors. It's surprising to find such spicyness in a wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. It certainly comes from the Merlot, not the Cab. Kosher for Passover, Mevushal

This wine is bursting with fruit flavors - raspberry and currant. It is full-bodied and smooth. I love it!

Kosher. Bright and appealing for its pure currant and dusky herb flavors, persisting nicely on the finish. Drink now.

This kosher performer begins with a strong whiff of smoked meats and some unbridled grapey aromas. The palate is fairly complex, with plum, licorice, coffee and mineral notes. The finish is rather spicy, bordering on hot. Despite a touch of bitterness on the back end, itrsquo;s got a lot going for it.
