Te Mata Estate Red Bordeaux Blend Hawkes Bay Cabernet/Merlot Woodthorpe 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Te Mata Estate Woodthorpe Merlot/Cabernets ‘07 is a deep, red ruby colour. It has aromas and flavours of very ripe dark cherry and plum with spicy oak and a hint of milk chocolate. A velvety texture with a fine tannin firmness carries through the palate. Te Mata Estate Woodthorpe Merlot/Cabernets ‘07 is a blend of 44% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc and 15% Petit Verdot. It is a wonderful accompaniment to savoury red meats dishes and hard white cheeses and will continue to evolve in bottle for 3-6 years from harvest.
