This is a nice Tempranillo. Lots of fruit but not as much tannin and acidity as I would have hoped. Its not a stunner but is a solid value.

The word dromos is not usually used in the English language, but it dates back to antiquity and means "doorway or grand entrance." Dromos could not possibly be appreciated in a single tasting, you need to decant this powerful "Super Tuscan" red wine. A great unfiltered wine from a selection of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, sangiovese, alicante and cabernet franc grapes, this wine can be described as nothing less than powerful 14.5% Vol. In the mouth, this blend of five grape varieties has great structure. Ruby red colour, aromas of intense black fruit, licorice, with hints of vanilla. Drying tannic finish, rich and incredibly complex, well rounded and a perfect balance... A gem! This wine is great with our veal scaloppine with mushrooms... !

We really enjoy the Fielding Chardonnay Musque which was our first experience with this wine. We thought since we were in the area we'd check out this unique winery which is located almost next door. It was well worth our time. The hostess was very welcoming in her own special way and we are definitely looking forward to our next trip. The wine has a fruity flavour. And very subtle stone under tones. Absolutely delicious!

estoy en este tiempo con vinos tempranillo monovarietales como preferidos. ya probe algunos cabernet, nebbiolo, merlot claro¡, shira, pocos eso si.... elegí al tempranillo como preferido por la suavidad. a mi esposa le gusta. por lo que tomamos desde hace algun tiempo de estos. asi que de este crianza 2006 tempranillo fue de gusto medio, ya que es menos dulce al paladar que otros... pero a mi me gusto que refleja un buen ejemplo de vino español, con todo lo que esto significa. español... serio, soleado, directo, con mucho que ofrecer. no se queda solo en lo dulce que la mayoria buscamos.... se supone...:)

SummaryNero d'Avola vinified on its own gives this wine an exciting red color, an aroma of ripe fruit and a typical, deep, balanced flavor. Campo Reale, named after a town close to the estate, comes from vineyards at the heart of the Tenuta Rapitalà, grown on gentle hills at 400 metres altitude which, because of their history, terrain and climate, creates a Nero d'Avola with a particular elegance, rare among others of this type.Terroir: Selected parcels of vines at 400 metres above sea level are trained by the Guyot system on clay soil with limited yields of 90 quintals per hectare.Vinification: The grapes reach full ripeness during the last ten days of September. They are vinified by the red wine method with long macerations (14 days) to extract the required phenolic substances and tannins. This produces a structured, soft and balanced wine. 20% of the resulting wine is transferred to 2nd and 3rd passage barrique for four months to layer in complexity which this ...

Rating: 88/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. There is nothing especially subtle about this flashy and very out-going wine, and finesse is not one of its strengths, but it offers up lots of optimally ripe cherry-like fruit with overtones of black-berries and plenty of sweet oak. It is full and fleshy in feel with a bit of pert, balancing acid checking its drift to sweetness, and, if not at all astringent, it claims just enough tannin to make a few years of aging worthwhile.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.

Ruby-red. Musky cherry and dark berry aromas are complemented by notes of cracked pepper and herbs. Bitter cherry and sassafras on the palate, with a sweet note of cola on the back end. Finishes with a slightly clenched quality and an echo of bitter cherry. Give this some air.

Dense, deep aromas of grilled meat and berry fruits lead to a full and concentrated palate with structure and fierce tannins. Tastes of classic blackberry and plum, with light herbal shadings. Turns more spicy and interesting on the finish.

The dark ruby-colored 2006 Milcampos Vinas Viejas spent eight months in new Hungarian and American oak. It exhibits an impressive nose of mineral, espresso, black cherry, and blackberry. This leads to a medium- to full-bodied wine with plenty of spicy black fruit, good concentration, enough structure to evolve for 2ndash;3 years, and a lengthy finish. Drink it from 2011 to 2018.
