Deep maroon color to this wine with a nose that is restrained and waiting to develop. A nice minerally chocolate component is the first thing to really hit me followed by dark fruits, deep and mysterious with light strawberry/violet wisps. Nice and round in the mouth with a firm acidity gentle tannins and a medium sweetness that leaves your mouth fresh on the finish. Lot's of chocolate and violets on this wine, followed by a pure minerality that I associate with schist for better or worse.
