Tavel 2006

External Review by Morrell & Company:

A Rhone wine made from Grenache Noir 60%, Cinsault 15%, Clairette 9%, Syrah 5%, Grenache Blanc 5%, Carignan 3%, Mourvèdre 1%, Picpoul 1%, and Bourboulenc 1% coming from 21 plots on the Roc-Epine estate and masterfully blended to produce a truly remarkable rose. Domaine Lafond's Tavel is a forceful, rich, personality-filled rose, offering copious amounts of strawberry and cherry fruit with a whiff of the famed "herbes de Provence."The culminant aromas are complex, red and white fruits mixing with floral tinges. With time, these fruity aromas tend to turn mellow adding touches of spice and plums.
