The Grassa family farms over 2,400 acres of vines in Gascony, producing both Bas-Armagnac brandy and fine wines.   In the early 1980s, Yves Grassa revolutionized both the family estate and winemaking in the region when he planted non-traditional varieties Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc alongside classic Armagnac grapes Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng. Yves crafted innovative blends including Chenin Blanc-Chardonnay and a co-fermented Sauvignon Blanc-Chardonnay.   The Grassa family prides itself on its revolutionary approach while holding a deep respect for nature’s influence. From the vineyards to the technologically advanced winemaking facility, great measures are taken to ensure the quality and freshness of the finished wines. In the vineyards, they employ sustainable farming methods, including the use of natural fertilizers.   Yves’ sons, Armin and Remy, are the third generation of the Grassa family to lead Domaine du Tariquet. They took over management of the estate from their father in 2008 and have continued the family tradition of excellence and innovation.
