Started off great. Like a cross between Gourt du Mautens and Soumade Confiance. The power of Mautens and the elegance of Soumade. Nice combo. Then the oak took over. Any wine that has Dominique Laurent's touch needs at least an hour to open up for all the oak to integrate. After it does this wine is a beauty. Grilled nuts, wild berries, garrigue, mint, iodine and spicey oak. The palate crashes with an amalgam of oak, berry fruit and a touch of warmth. Good concentrated fruit on the finsh with solid acids. Showing very nicely.
