External Reviews for Tardieu Laurent Cornas VV
The black/purple-colored, masculine 2000 Cornas Cuvandeacute;e Coteaux (from 20andndash;40 year old vines) reveals good richness on the attack, but ferocious tannin in the finish. It should gain texture as it will be racked until bottling in the fall of 2002. The level of sulfur is extremely low (approximately 15 ppm). This wine has good length, but the high tannin is a concernandhellip; at least for now.
Full, bright ruby. Musky aromas of cassis, espresso, minerals, gunflint and mint. Sweet, juicy and sharply delineated; solidly structured but not yet complex. I tasted this wine directly after the old-vines Chateauneuf, and the Cornas came off as considerably less concentrated and not as long on the aftertaste.
