With Tapeña, any table becomes the best in the house. Find us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/tapenawines Tapeña (tah-PAY-nyah) is the ideal complement for an evening of food and conversation among close friends. In Spain, going for tapas (TAH-paz) is the American equivalent of bar hopping with an epicurean twist. Red raspberry and cocoa nose, very pleasant. The mouth is a little bit sweet, but has nice acids and tannins to fill it out. Round and well constructed, not too complex, easy drinking.

Very glad to have tasted this a second time. First blush it was not good at all, but then the next day totally different taste and mouth feel. A good basic wine for a simple meal when you do not want another Merlot.

Intense ruby red color with violet-blue undertones characteristic of young red wines. This is a classic Tempranillo, showing intense flavors of earth, plums and violets over a hint of orange peel. It is full and luscious in the palate, rich in ripe fruits and fine tannins, with a great balance and lingering finish. - Winery
