Food Pairings for Tangent Albariño Edna Valley
External Reviews for Tangent Albariño Edna Valley
...The albariño varietal hails from the Rías Baixas region of Spain. My aim with this wine was to keep to the classic style, showcasing its vibrant acidity and fresh aromatics of tangerine and ripe peach. This wine is fresh and crisp, with tropical notes of banana and grapefruit, along with an indigenous salty character. A very complex wine, it is a fabulous accompaniment to simply-prepared shellfish.
My aim with albarino is to show off its classic vibrantacidity and beautiful aromatics. This 2008 is refreshinglycrisp and clean, and smells of violets, tangerine, and lime. It has tropical flavors of citrus and banana, and the subtle Albarino trademark salty characteristic. This wine has got to be the world's most compatiblewine with shellfish! It is wonderful with simplyprepared clams, shrimp, mussels, lobster, crab, oysters, and especially scallops.'www. tangentwines.comWINE
