Tamás Estates Red Blend Central Coast Double Decker Red 2010
Editorial Reviews for Tamás Estates Red Blend Central Coast Double Decker Red
Lovely nose shows gentle layers of blackberries, strawberry and brambly spice. Smooth and a touch sweet in the mouth, this delivers a nicely vanilla-framed core of rather black cherry fruit, with accent notes of wood spice and pepper adding complexity. There’s a little meatiness to the black spice on the back end, along with a hint of some stemmy herbs that turn into something more licorice and medicinal toned on the slightly sweet finish. Pretty good stuff with good varietal character. 85pts
Chipotle and bananas in the aroma, which is reinforced in the mouth. Nice non-tart acidity, which is bright and refreshing. Minerality carries it for a good length. Wish I had some chicken tacos.
Two and a half glasses
Love this wine, my roommates and I call it our "house wine" and buy it by the case. It is a perfect everyday wine and pairs well with all food!
Perfectly balanced red, with delicious layers of flavor. Tried it at a wine tasting and out of over twenty wines we sampled it was the only one that we wanted to go buy. My wife doesn't like red wine, and she wanted more!
Bramble on the nose, sweet fruit on the palette. Dark berries laced with a bit of smokiness make for a full, rich and long-lasting wine.
