Reviews for 2008 Vintage
Love this wine, my roommates and I call it our "house wine" and buy it by the case. It is a perfect everyday wine and pairs well with all food!
Perfectly balanced red, with delicious layers of flavor. Tried it at a wine tasting and out of over twenty wines we sampled it was the only one that we wanted to go buy. My wife doesn't like red wine, and she wanted more!
Too sweet for me, almost reminded me of the awful Apothic Red, but not quite as bad. Not that good though. Has a bit of a brown-fruit edge that reminds me of dates, figs, and feces. Rotten grapes, also, like Hennessy VS, likely from overripe fruit. Tries to be a zinfandel, but it's a Cabernet / Petit Sirah blend, so I am confused by the sweetness, it doesn't work in my opinion with these grapes.
A fun crowd pleaser. Very dark in the glass, with deep garnet hue. Nice nose, lots of red fruit, soft tannins. Good value.
This is by far the best red wine I have ever had. Very smooth. It is a nice wine to sit on the back deck and drink with friends
Pleasant, really enjoyed a glass of Double Decker. So happy to find a wine that I really like.
yummy! and it was a totally random choice at Safeway b/c it as on sale!
