Tamari Malbec Reserva(2006)
Tamari Malbec comes from the Uco Valley and high zones of the Mendoza River in Argentina. The soil at the vineyard is stony, poor and fast draining. The climate is well balanced between warm daytime and cool nighttime temperatures. Deep red color with intense violet hue. Expressive and complex with aromas of candied plum, cherry, dried fig and spices. Notes of vanilla and chocolate result from oak aging. Very fruity, concentrated and complete with sweet ripe tannins and a persistent and elegant finish.

- Love this wine! Beautiful garnet color, full body and lots of fruit. Great with spicy food, or just to sip after a hard day!

- Extremely smooth malbec - light smokey overtone with the fruit really shining through. Amazingly easy to drink.

- Once again, I have failed to meet a malbec I didn't like. My obsession will continue until one fails me. Until then, however, I will continue to purchase them willy nilly as they are all tasty, fabulous, enjoyable, smooth, interesting and at an amazing bargain. But I'm not going to tell anyone, because I want it to stay that way.
