Tamarack Cellars Viognier 2012

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Sourced from Sagemoor Quince, candle wax, a hint of smokiness, earthy floral notes, saffron and a big ginseng, note come together on the nose. A little sweetness greets the palate and while this retains decent acids it’s a little less lively than I would prefer, relying on a hint of phenolic bitterness to help refresh the backend. It does show rather pure and attractive flavors of apricot and waxy, slightly dried bark. 87pts

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
