Tamarack Cellars Spicebox 2011

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

50% Grenache, 30% Counoise, 20% syrah Aromas of juicy, red, small berried fruit greets the nose framed by smoky hint of grilled meat and black soices. Rich and a little chewy in the mouth this shows more Syrah character up front with blue fruits and a spicy edge that has the voluminous texture of grenache. The fruit turns a bit redder in the mouth, with some spicy, floral nuances that emerge towards the backend and add detail on the finish. Well balanced with integrated acids and fine tannins. 88pts
