Tamarack Cellars Seven Hills Vineyard Reserve 2009

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot Tobacco, herbs, and bIue fruit greet the nose here though remain reticent and tight, Quite richly flavored onentry with bold vanilla tinged cherry and blueberry fruits wrapped up in a big, powerful, full bodied wine that is fairly tannic but with so much stuffing that it remains texturally seamless. There’s a nice mineral edge that emerges on the backend lending some cut to the palate and helping to dive the long finish. This is a gorgeous wine, complex, powerful and refined. In need of a bit of cellaring I would love to revisit this in 3 years. 94pts
