Editorial Reviews for Tamarack Cellars Red Blend Columbia Valley Firehouse Red
Warm, spicy and a bit hot on the nose with chocolate shavings and cigar box notes accenting red raspberry and strawberry fruit. Soft on entry and nicely filled out with boisterous fruit and oak flavors in the big yet still transparent frame. This offers up nice, slightly jammy, slightly chewy fruit in a fun to drink style that finishes a touch coarsely but delivers a lot of flavor. 89pts
User Reviews for Tamarack Cellars Red Blend Columbia Valley Firehouse Red
Add your reviewAs the title says, their is fire in here in the form of nice spiciness. Terrific pairing for pasta with meat sauce. Fruit forward with some well-integrated oak. Great everyday wine.
This is probably one of the best quality to price ratio wines I have found recently. It has all the smoothness and complexity of a more expensive wine for 11.99 at Costco. fantastic.
Winemaker's Notes:
Tastes like really, really good red wine. Which varietal is lending which notes? Who cares? Rounded, lush, layered and lovely, the ultimate food wine, pairing well with everything from pasta and pizza to grilled meat and roasted chicken. Bright raspberry, currant, mocha, a touch of pepper spice, soft tannins and a lingering finish… year in and year out, it’s like partying with an old friend.
