Taltarni Moonambol Cabernet Sauvignon Red 1977

Member Review by Michael at MAX:

Opened 1/10/09 32 years old This is the last of 12 bottles that I have drunk over the last 10 years some have been better than others all have impressive, when the cork was removed the perfume of Malbec was noticeable at first then faded, the wine had aged fruit flavor clearly of Cabernet, a little dry a bit dusty the tannins are still there but lurking at the end of a watery finish. The wine is quite smooth actually still sound and to my surprise the last glass left in the bottle next day was still very drinkable. Just don’t make them like they used to hay!
