Tallulah Syrah Mt. Veeder Bald Mountain Ranch 2009

Member Review by Fred Swan:

Opaque and ruby-black with aromas of dusty black fruit, mocha, game and dark spice. The palate is full-bodied with moderate fine, powdery tannins. Very attractive flavors of mocha, black fruit, game, toasted wood and dark spice. 91+ points

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

On the nose, fresh blueberries, wet leaves and cigar box. On the palate, good core of black and blue berries, very subtle smoke, pepper. Moderate, peppery finish. Very enjoyable wine.
