Food Pairings for Talley Vineyards Pinot Noir Arroyo Grande Estate Arroyo Grande Valley
Beautiful pale ruby in color. Scent of strawberry soaked in alcohol. Heat up front followed by a burst of berries (strawberry and raspberry) and some damp woody flavor. Nice bit of acidity on the end balances out this wine.
Wine Advocate #160 (Aug 2005) Robert Parker 90 points. Complexity, elegance, concentration, and character jump significantly with the 2003 Pinot Noir Estate. A medium deep ruby color is accompanied by sweet cherry, raspberry, and currant fruit intermixed with damp earth and background wood notes. Medium-bodied and pure, with a floral component that emerges as the wine sits in the glass, this stylish, complex Pinot Noir could easily be confused with a high class Volnay. It should drink well for 5-6 years. Kudos to the Talley family for its impressive dedication to high quality wines.
