This has gently leesy and barrel induced notes framing the cool, and crisp orchard fruits and pineapple of the nose. Nicely balanced in the mouth with a rich, round feel and lightly buttery notes that work well with the bright, white fruit tones. It’s medium bodied and toes a fine line between a maintaining a lighter, fresher character while delivering more typical flavors such as the medium length finish with it’s touch of butterscotch. 89pts

I have enjoyed Kali Hart since the very first vintage, it was then and still is well made, and an incredible value. This Chard is as elegant and nuanced as its bigger, pricier Talbott Chardonnay brothers. Beginning with the current 2008 vintage the production of this wine has been greatly reduced; so don't expect to find it just anywhere.

This is an exceptional bargain and has been our standard house chardonnay since the first release (2001). It has held up well in blind tastings against chardonnays costing twice as much. It is well balanced with a trace of oak and a long, complex aftertaste. Most of the vintages have been outstanding except for the 2003 which was a tad oxidized. The 2008 is lighter, racier an more forward than the others. We compared the 2001 against the first line Talbott chardonnay of the same year in 2007 and the Kali Hart competed very nicely.
Tastes like green olives. Couldn't get past that for a second glass. Usually Talbot's wines are great.
This Chardonnay is light straw in color with a youthful greenish hue and excellent clarity. The rich, inviting nose shows bright tropical fruit notes. This vibrant tropical fruit continues on the palate with flavors of pineapple and honeydew melon, complemented by re- freshing acidity. A generous mid-palate gives way to a bright focused finish with citrus elements of lemon and tangerine and mineral notes. Kali Hart Chardonnay is intended to be enjoyed within two to four years .
