Food Pairings for Taittinger Brut Prélude Grand Crus Champagne
I am illogically stubborn in some instances, champagne being one of them. Although I enjoy a wide variety there is only one name I hold to. You can keep your Laurent, Dom, even Roederer (though that is a close second), I'll hold to Taittinger in terms of general sources. This is one of my favorites, before you put this off as just a Rose champagne, first perhaps put aside your prejudices and try a few decent ones. This is one of the most fragrant champagnes I've ever come across. Taittinger always places great emphasis on creating such precise flavors. It is very fruity, floral, light but has a sharp, crisp depth that will make you change your mind and appeal to any champagne enthusiast who was too quick to put this off as utterly feminine and without depth. Plays on your tongue with an awfully charming aftertaste.
citrus, orange peel, teeny bits of zest on the nose with citrus zest on the palate as well, some strawberry hints, rose, very refreshing
Light strawberry nose. Pink melon and strawberry with some jolly rancher notes. There's some really nice fruit and some nice biscuit there too. Overall a very fragrant, floral yet delicate champagne, not too brut.
Light biscuit nose, light mousse, floral but faint and light, not very acidic, very approachable actually
Nice clean Champagne with just a hint of sourness right at the end.
One of the most refreshing Champagne's I have ever had. Crisp, clean, sweet, it cleanses the palat very well with its subtle citrus, apricot and biscuit taste. Expensive, but just about worth the price.
Very easy drinking Champagne. Floral tones but overall too weak & light. Lacks complexity & character. I like it but it's not like I really like it. Some exotic fruit tones , slightly oak aftertaste and a little bread on the nose, that's why it's 3.

A wonderful rosé cuvée with nice berry-like Pinot Noir flavors and generous toastiness. From a winery known for its delicate, intricate style.
90 points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright straw with a fine bead. Spicy, intense, deeply pungent aromas of apple, lime and flowers. Brisk, focused and pure, showing racy, deep citrus zest and mineral flavors of wonderful purity. Very clean, penetrating and long on the finish, with a lingering citrus zest quality." (Nov/Dec 06) 89 points - Wine Spectator"Smoky, graphite character lends depth to the lemon and floral notes in this elegant bubbly. Well-delineated by the vibrant acidity. Moderate finish. Drink now." (11/04) A blend from all Grand Cru villages.
This is elegant and harmonious, offering vanilla, graphite and toast aromas and flavors. The texture is refined, and this builds to a long, coffee- and pastry-tinged finish. Drink now through 2010. 320 cases imported. Wine Spectator. A Champagne Blend wine from Champagne in France. N.V. Taittinger Prelude 750ml

Bright, clear pink color, with an aggressive mousse. Vibrant nose offers a wide range of red berry aromas, along with floral notes of jasmine and magnolia blossom. Silky and light on the palate, the red berry fruit enhanced by suave baking spices and tangy mineral notes. This is a classic rendition of consistently fine ros Champagne, displaying finesse and haunting perfume.(Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar)
