2008 Tablas Creek Rosé (58% Mourvèdre, 32% Grenache, 10% Counoise). Reddish pink color darker than most Rosés; Well balanced, Plum, watermelon, strawberry on nose and palate; fresh, crisp lingering flavors on the finish. Really enjoying this wine, especially on hot day like today. July 19, 2009

Supple and harmonious, with ripe, fleshy plum, black cherry and wild berry fruit that's full-bodied, gaining complexity and ending with a dash of tar, nutmeg and spice. This is a blend of four estate grown grape varieties: Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache and a dash of Counoise. It's well-structured and very generous on the palate with dark berried fruit, raspberries and spice. Organic.

The unbottled 2008 whites include the 2008 Cotes de Tablas Blanc (a blend of 42% Viognier, 26% Roussanne, and 20% Marsanne, and the balance Grenache). It exhibits attractive honeyed grapefruit, lemon blossom, and exotic tropical fruit notes, superb f... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Antinori is a world famous producer of Tuscan wines, their history going back literally centuries. The Villa Antinori is the estate where the Chianti Classico wines have been produced for many years. This wine is a natural progression from their Chianti Classico. As the Antinoris recognized how non-native grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah raised the level of quality of their wine they started blending more and more and finally could no longer use the DOC designation and so it became a Super Tuscan IGT. But the quality they’ve reached is exceptional, especially as they’ve experimented more with aging in small oak barrels. This 2008 scored 90 points in the Wine Advocate who said "The 2008 Villa Antinori comes across as richer, darker and weightier than the 2007 tasted alongside it. Black cherries, smoke, licorice and tar are some of the notes that emerge from this powerful entry-level red. A long, intense finish rounds things out nicely. Villa Antinori is predominantly Sangiovese, with some Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014."

It is brilliant white gold colored with green highlights. Its white flower aromas such as orange blossom and rose combine harmoniously with its intense fruity notes of pear, mango and passion fruit.

The wine has an intense ruby red color. It offers full and complex aromas which recall ripe fruit, plum jam, mint, chocolate, and tobacco. In the mouth, the wine presents itself with good body; it is round, with soft, velvety tannins.90 WA
