Tablas Creek Vermentino Paso Robles 2013

Member Review by vin0vin0:

Beautiful Tablas Creek Vermentino from Paso. Really nice floral, honeysuckle nose. On the palate there's rich, creamy lemon, more honeysuckle, mouth watering acidity, a bit of salinity and a medium long finish. Extremely enjoyable and a real nice change of pace.

Nice, tart Paso vermentino. A hint of fresh cut lemon and some floral notes on the nose. On the palate, nice lemon/lime citrus with some wet stone and vibrant acidity. There's a touch of fresh apricot and bees wax on the finish.

Shy aromas of stone, lemon, and apple. Juicy pear and apple flavors, with kaffir lime and white ginger would be great with shellfish and fish.

Green-tinged straw. High-pitched aromas of pear candied lemon and mango with slow-building spiciness. Very fresh and sappy with deep but lithe orchard and tropical fruit flavors framed by bracing acidity. The tangy finish features lingering spiciness. This would work well with rich or lighter foods. The 2010 Vermentino is a gorgeous crisp white laced with considerable aromatic complexity and sheer personality. It comes across as a bit riper and more generous than most Italian versions. White peaches flowers and mint flow gracefully to the rich textured finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
