Like most wines of the Southern Rhône, it is a blend of varietals, featuring the fruitiness of Grenache balanced by the spice and structure of Syrah, with meaty, earthy notes from Mourvedre and Counoise.
Tablas Creek, founded by the Perrin brothers of Chateau de Beaucastel and Robert Haas of Vineyard Brands, produces organically farmed, estate-grown Rhone varietals and blends in the limestone clay soils of west Paso Robles.
What can I say - amazing. This winery is worth a tour, certified organic and Rhone varietal focused.
