Szigeti Pinot Noir Rose Sparkl 2011
The charm of our characteristic sparkling wines lies in their flavour and bouquet. Carefully hand picked and selected grapes from the finest vineyards around the beautiful Neusiedler Lake combined with extraordinary gentle processing. No room for artificial additives. This superb stylish fizz is honest, unadulterated and pleasantly salubrious.
Editorial Reviews for Szigeti Pinot Noir Rose Sparkl
Creamy on the nose with hints of vanilla, chalk and a hint of herbs over banana and pineapple fruit. Round and rich in the mouth with bright acidity up front followed by a large-scaled, creamy and gently sweet mid palate full of kiwi, lemon and banana fruit with a hint of vanilla on the back end which is followed by a dry, mineral inflected finish. A bit simple and fruity. 88pts
Winemaker's notes: Wine Description In September, high quality grapes were selected from carefully tended vineyards. Firm bubbles were generated using the Méthode Traditionnelle. The wine acquired a distinctive mousseux due to the use of yeasts indigenous to Champagne, France. The dosage was made with local sweet wine. Tasting Notes The Grüner Veltliner is delicate yet complex, with a mellow citrus color- appealing peppery note, elegantly fresh fruit and fine Mousseux with an invigorating finish.
Amazing. Still sparkling the next day. Can you believe it's a screw top!?? Had half the bottle the first day and no headache! 10% alcohol by vol. Semi-sparkling, dry. Not the best sparkling I ever had but for the price and screwtop and good buzz without headache, highly recommend!
Dry, rich, with some savory flavors, but also a bit of citrus. Very nice bubbly.
I believe each wine should be judged on its own merits and not in competition with others. In that regard, this wine is simply fabulous. For $4.99 you can't beat this with a stick. Not too sweet, not too dry, not too bubbly. At $4.99 it's cheaper than not drinking. Drank a bottle with some stir fry and the pairing was delightful. I'd keep a bottle of this on hand at all times. Seriously, EVERYBODY loves a nice light, sparkling white and its extremely useful to have on hand.
Nice bubbly from Burgenland, Austria I got to sample at a recent tasting. The cremant-like wine offers tons of tiny, creamy bubbles and a floral nose with great acidity. Golden in color, this wine is a great option when looking for an affordable sparkling wine.
clean, crisp, delicious to me, a nonsparkler fan
