($48) Deep ruby-red. Superripe aromas of black raspberry, mocha, espresso, chocolate, smoke and earth. Sweet, fat and opulent, with powerful flavors of black raspberry and rocks. From a vineyard on the Silverado Trail above Larkmead Lane. Still a bit youthfully clenched on the end, with dusty tannins calling for a couple years of patience. (A barrel sample of the 2002 was at least as impressive as this wine.)
