Good Merlot. Not exactly the Cabernet drinkers merlot....but a nice wine with good structure. it's a well made wine and will go well with most foods. nice nose...slightly tannic on the finish. But a good solid wine! Cheers!

Rating: 90/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. Well-ripened and well-defined as Merlot with lots of sweet oak working in league with its ample black cherry fruit, this weighty, comparatively fleshy, but nicely rounded wine hits the varietal nail on the head in terms of both taste and texture. It picks up a bit of Cabernet's sturdiness en route to its lengthy, moderately tannic finish, but its tougher side will be tamed by time, and five years in the cellar should do the trick.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Cellar for future drinking. Wine will improve with bottle aging.
